The Importance of Lightning Protection for High Mast Lighting Systems
High mast lighting systems are widely used in airports, highways, ports, stadiums, industrial facilities, and large public spaces where powerful, wide-area illumination is required. Because these lighting poles are significantly taller than standard street lights, they are more exposed to lightning activity. An unexpected lighting failure caused by lightning can reduce visibility, interrupt normal operations, and increase safety risks.
